    What are pre-treatment protocols before a chemical peel?

    It is best to prepare the skin using PCA homecare products prior to treatment to avoid the chance of negative reactions and to obtain maximum results.

    What are post peel instructions?

    After receiving a chemical peel, PCA homecare products must be used for at least 4-5 days after treatment. These home care products are provided for you free of charge with your treatment. Wash the skin gently and pat skin dry. Avoid sun exposure as much as possible when healing. Do not pick or peel the skin as these actions can cause scarring.

    What should I expect after having a chemical peel?

    Some people experience peeling two to four days after the procedure which may last up to five days while others don’t peel at all. Peeling, stinging, burning, skin tightness and itching is normal after a treatment.

    What are the risks associated with chemical peels?

    Possible complications include discomfort, swelling, reddening, allergic reaction and increased sensitivity to sunlight.

    How many treatments will I need?

    The number of treatments varies from individual to individual depending on the condition treated and purpose for treatment. For corrective procedure, 4-5 treatments are typical spaced approximately 2-3 weeks apart. For a maintenance programs, sensitive skins/ rosacia sufferers, or anti-aging remedies, peels may be scheduled every 28 days.
