What causes unwanted veins?

Red, blue or purple leg and facial veins can be a result of sun exposure, use of oral contraception, Hormone Therapy, age or genetics.

How does the laser treatment work?

A cosmetic laser emits a prescribed dose of energy to the vein. The “selectively” targets the problem veins while sparing surrounding areas. After treatment, the vessel will naturally disappear.

How many treatments are required??

Typically only one or two treatments are required. Treatment time usually varies between 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area treated.

Does it hurt?

The treatment causes only minimal discomfort. Any redness or swelling should be gone within a day and you’ll be able to resume normal activities immediately.

What will the vessel look like immediately after treatment?

The appearance of leg veins will either dramatically fade or completely disappear during the treatment. Some vessels may appear darker in appearance. This is normal. It may take 2-6 weeks for your body’s healing response to begin. In turn, it may take 2-6 weeks for your body to absorb and eliminate the dilated vessel.

Is it safe to eliminate spider veins from the legs?

Yes, spider veins are dilated vessels which no longer serve any purpose to the body. The treatment is strictly cosmetic.
